Questions
Which panels stand up best to storms?
Heavier duty panels such as featheredge or closeboard style panels, fitted into concrete posts, cope much better than thin lap panels. Wind can pass through slatted and hit and miss panels, which also helps.
Can I just replace one panel?
Usually, yes, especially with concrete slotted posts. Matching an old panel exactly can be harder, and a new one will look brighter at first.
What size are standard fence panels?
Most are 1.83m (6ft) wide and come in heights from about 0.9m to 1.8m.
